Open-source product roadmap

Each milestone is independently useful. Candidate work is not a production claim until its acceptance criteria and release gates pass.

2026-07-31

Secure, truthful storefront candidate

candidate

Remove unsupported product claims, repair typed builds, and clear actionable production dependency findings.

Acceptance criteria

  • Structured data contains no invented rating, review count, stock state, or fulfillment promise.
  • Lint, strict TypeScript, unit/contract tests, production audit, and production build pass.
  • Container and canonical production verification remain explicit release gates.

2026-08-07

Checkout-state resilience

planned

Make provider loading, unavailable checkout, and contact fallback states accessible and testable.

Acceptance criteria

  • Stripe script failure produces an actionable fallback without implying payment succeeded.
  • No payment, order, or customer data is stored by GlobalShop.
  • Desktop and mobile browser journeys cover checkout configured and unavailable states.

2026-08-14

Catalog accessibility and media audit

planned

Improve keyboard, screen-reader, contrast, image, and reduced-motion behavior without changing the brand.

Acceptance criteria

  • Primary product and checkout flow pass automated accessibility checks.
  • Product imagery has verified dimensions, formats, and descriptive alternatives.
  • Community contributors can reproduce the audit from documented commands.

2026-08-22

Federated catalog evidence

planned

Validate the read-only catalog tool and resource through MCP, Evals, BrowserOps, and Trace evidence.

Acceptance criteria

  • MCP JSON-RPC object, batch, notification, error, tool, and resource cases pass.
  • Cross-site checks stay public, read-only, trusted-domain bounded, and secret-free.
  • Unavailable downstream services are reported as degraded instead of successful.

Release and operations handoff

planned

Publish a fully gated storefront release with canonical alias and rollback evidence.

Acceptance criteria

  • Remote CI, production audit, container smoke, and Vercel production build pass from one immutable commit.
  • The canonical alias, product-to-checkout journey, health, discovery, feed, sitemap, and MCP routes pass live.
  • Release notes record residual risks and the next 30-day window.
